🔬 This scientific article was published in the Journal of Sensory Studies.
The study of non-comparative claims was carried out using an exhaustive database, collecting consumer feedback on a wide range of cosmetic products. A rigorous method based on evaluations of product attributes and associated proportions was developed. This method has made it possible to define performance thresholds, thereby validating new claims.
This study paves the way for other applications, enabling companies in the food and non-food sectors to adapt this methodology. So new products can be launched and marketed with confidence.
